follows three interlocking timelines that converge in a desperate rescue mission. Over the course of one week, Cooper and Viv pose as honeymooners at a luxury Thai villa, but their cover is part of a dangerous undercover operation to infiltrate a kidnapping and organ trafficking ring. When Viv is abducted on Day Two, Cooper must navigate corrupt police, violent enforcers, and his own agency’s cold calculations to locate her.
Simultaneously, we follow Viv’s harrowing 24 hours in captivity, where she befriends Emily, a young American backpacker, and must activate a hidden tracker by literally pulling out her own tooth while plotting their escape. As Viv works to free herself and Emily from their chains, she discovers the operation is far more extensive—and more brutal—than intelligence suggested.
The timelines collide in a single violent hour as Cooper launches a one-man assault on the compound, fighting through guards, corrupt officials, and the operation’s ruthless leader Narong. Cooper and Viv reunite for a desperate escape, but Emily’s compassion for other captives costs her everything.
The trio makes it back to the villa, but Emily succumbs to a hidden gunshot wound, dying in their arms as extraction arrives. Left with Emily’s body and the knowledge that dozens of other victims remain trapped in the system, Cooper and Viv face the devastating reality that their mission—though technically successful—has solved nothing. As they’re driven away into the night, both operatives quietly decide this will be their last operation.
A taut thriller in the style of Dunkirk’s temporal structure, KIDNAP explores the moral cost of tactical victories and asks whether saving one life justifies abandoning many others.
